Tegalalang Rice Terarace

Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud's shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan

The Holy Spring Water Temple

Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is one of the least visited temple complexes on the island yet is one of the most beautiful and tranquil. Locally referred to as Pura Tirta Dawa Gunung Kawi Sebatu, the temple in Central Bali features verdant gardens around ponds filled with carp and blooming lotuses. The temple complex comprises a collection of ancient shrines. They are mostly surrounded by these crystal-clear water features which are fed by natural springs. At a far separate section, there are bathing pools and fountains where some locals come to bathe and shower. You can find the temple complex within the highland village of Sebatu in Tegallalang, Gianyar. It is approximately 12 km northeast from the Ubud central.
